Dr Steve Pawsey is a highly experienced pharmaceutical physician with more than 30 years of experience spanning all phases of development in both pharma and biotech. Steve Joined Advent as a Growth Partner in early 2026.

Steve was most recently the CMO of two Advent portfolio companies, including KaNDy Therapeutics where he led the development of elinzanetant (Lynkuet®) prior to its acquisition by Bayer. Steve previously worked in CMO or similar roles at several UK biotechs, before which he gained experience in drug development in several pharma companies. His experience and knowledge span all phases of drug development from pre-clinical through to phase 3 and registration, and he has extensive regulatory experience gained in multiple different therapy areas.

Steve graduated in medicine from the University of London and originally trained in anaesthesia and critical care. He is a Fellow of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine, a former Chair of the Faculty’s Examination Board, and an appraiser for medical revalidation.
